Dyson unveils HushJet Mini Cool fan with five airflow speeds and boost mode

Dyson has unveiled its first portable handheld fan , the HushJet Mini Cool, designed for versatility as a wearable, desk accessory, or handheld device. Weighing just 212 grams and powered by a 6-hour battery, the fan delivers airflow speeds of up to 25m/s thanks to a brushless DC motor spinning at 65,000 RPM. With five airflow settings and a Boost mode, users can customize cooling from gentle breezes to turbo-charged relief. Chief Engineer Jake Dyson said the launch reflects the company’s long-standing obsession with airflow: “The HushJet™ Mini Cool fan is the culmination of that journey: powerful airflow, engineered for life on the move by bringing elite cooling technology from every home to your hand.”

The company claims that the fan’s HushJet projection ensures rapid cooling while maintaining acoustic comfort. By lowering frequencies and eliminating high-pitched whirring, Dyson has engineered a quieter, more pleasant cooling experience.

Dyson’s Colour Materials and Finish Engineer Holly Holmes emphasized the emotional connection of design: “Bold contrasts for confidence, deep tones for sophistication, and soft hues for calm. It’s about making engineering personal.”

The fan is available in three finishes:

• Ink/Cobalt – vibrant yet elegant dual-tone blue.
• Carnelian/Sky – vivid red with a fresh sky-blue accent.
• Stone/Blush – soft tinted white with a delicate blush pink.

The HushJet Mini Cool comes with a Neck Dock, Charging Stand, USB‑C cable, and Travel Pouch. Optional add-ons include a Universal Mount for prams and a Grip Clip to attach the fan to bag straps or jackets, offering multiple ways to carry and secure the device.

The company has announced that the Dyson HushJet Mini Cool fan will be soon available in India.
