Elon Musk shares another peek into Tesla Diner; says two more coming up in these locations
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has suggested that the company plans to open two more Tesla Diners. This announcement follows the successful opening of the first location in Los Angeles (LA) in July. In a recent post shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Musk reshared a video of the Los Angeles diner on X and wrote: “The futuristic Tesla Diner is going well. Probably makes sense to open one near our Giga Texas HQ in Austin and engineering HQ in Palo Alto. 😋” The video, which shows the interiors and the food that are available at the Tesla Diner in LA, was initially posted by Tesla. Sharing the video, the electric vehicle maker wrote: “Breakfast at our Tesla Diner now available until 2 pm. Lots of new items on the menu – come try ‘em.”

Earlier this year, the first diner, which is a retro-futuristic restaurant with a charging station, opened on Santa Monica Boulevard in LA, California. The LA outlet features 32 fast-charging stations, balcony dining, and two 45-foot LED movie screens.

Soon after the launch of the Tesla Diner in LA, Musk also mentioned the potential global expansion of the restaurant. In a post shared on X during the launch of the first outlet the tech billionaire discussed expanding the restaurant into a nationwide network, depending on the success of the first Tesla Diner.

He wrote: “If our retro-futuristic diner turns out well, which I think it will, Tesla will establish these in major cities around the world, as well as at Supercharger sites on long-distance routes. An island of good food, good vibes & entertainment, all while Supercharging!”

Replying to a comment on that post, Musk also noted that he would open a second diner at Starbase, the rocket launch facility in South Texas run by his company, SpaceX.

According to X users, most food products, including burgers and French fries, cost between $4 and $15. The place offers themed merchandise, including a vintage-style Hollywood diner T-shirt, an action-figure version of the Tesla Bot, supercharged gummy candies, and a Tesla restaurant-branded trucker cap.
However, the concept of a Tesla diner has been in development for years, with Musk describing the project in 2023 as "Grease meets the Jetsons with Supercharging". Earlier in 2018, he shared his plan for the diner, saying he was "gonna put an old school drive-in, roller skates and rock restaurant at one of the new Tesla Supercharger locations in LA."

A video shared by content creator Jacklyn Dallas on X also shows Tesla's humanoid robot Optimus serving popcorn inside the LA outlet. Dallas even described the place as a “paradise for tech lovers.” The two-storey building features a rooftop seating area and is designed to combine food, entertainment, and convenience in one location.
