GTA 6's November 19 launch date to remain unchanged, gaming industry insiders confirm

Newspoint

The release date for Grand Theft Auto VI remains set for November 19. Two gaming industry insiders are also confident the release date will remain unchanged, even as anticipation around the title continues to grow. There hasn't been any new official confirmation since February, but two industry insiders have recently said development is moving forward without major problems. The update comes at a time when there is a lot of talk about delays, trailer releases, and pre-order dates. Earlier this year, Take-Two Interactive reiterated that the game was on schedule, with marketing expected to begin in the coming days and physical editions planned at launch.

Gaming industry insiders confident about GTA 6 launch timeline remaining unchanged

Speaking on the GTA VI O’Clock podcast, co-host James Jarvis indicated increasing confidence that the release timeline will hold. “I'm pretty confident in the things we've been hearing that there's no delay incoming,” he said.

“I think the other week we put percentages on it and I put 83 or something but I'd be now 96 per cent confident in the 19 November release date,” Jarvis added.

Dan Dawkins, founder of GTA VI O’Clock, echoed a similar view, citing broader industry signals. “We are part of an industry that's interconnected, we do have jobs in the industry and you do hear things on the wind, I can't say too much more, but I feel like my levels of confidence have grown,” he noted.

Despite these statements, there has been no new official confirmation from Rockstar Games or Take-Two since the company’s last earnings update in February, when it said the game remained on track at that time.

The insiders also discussed the possible timing of a third trailer, suggesting it could arrive ahead of Take-Two’s next earnings call, expected sometime in May, though no specific date has been announced yet.
