Intel appoints Santhosh Viswanathan to lead Asia Pacific and Japan
Intel Corporation has announced the appointment of Santhosh Viswanathan as vice president and managing director for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region, expanding his leadership scope from India to cover one of the company’s most diverse and fast-growing markets.
In his new role, Viswanathan will oversee Intel’s overall business, brand, and customer engagements across APJ, bringing the region under a unified leadership structure. He will be responsible for driving growth, strengthening partnerships, and advancing Intel’s strategic priorities across multiple geographies.

Viswanathan has been with Intel for over two decades, holding leadership positions across India, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Managing Director for Intel India, where he played a pivotal role in positioning the country as a key growth engine for the company. Earlier, he was Global Director of Operations in the U.S., leading sales operations strategy and planning for Intel’s global sales organization.
“APJ is one of the most diverse and fast-growing regions in the world, and its strength lies in its people, partners, and technology ecosystems,” said Viswanathan. “I am excited to take on this expanded responsibility and work closely with our teams and customers to unlock new opportunities, drive growth, and create lasting impact across the region.”
Viswanathan holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management and an MBA, equipping him with both technical and business expertise to lead Intel’s operations in APJ.
