New Fallout 3 Remastered leak suggests long-rumoured remake could be close
At this point, it’s pretty common knowledge that Bethesda - or someone adjacent - is working on a Fallout 3 Remaster of some kind.
Our most concrete evidence so far were plans for such a title leaked in court documents during Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. There was also hope that Iron Galaxy might be working on the project following a LinkedIn faux-pas last week, although that rumour was debunked by the studio itself.
Now though, it appears that the release of a Fallout 3 Remastered project might just be gearing up for launch - if a brand new toy listing is to be believed, that is.

As spotted by some keen-eyed Redditors, a new product listing for McFarlane toys seems to reference a Fallout 3 Remastered unit.
The post appeared on Toy News International, and seemingly lists a bunch of new action figures coming from the manufacturer. While McFarlane Toys hasn’t confirmed whether this list is accurate or not, the thread post explains that these early leaks are ‘generally true’.
Included in the list are a bunch of DC figures, but the entry that’s caught the attention of Fallout fans though is as follows:
ELITE EDITION 7IN – FALLOUT 3 REMASTERED – #13 T-45B NUKA COLA
This is seemingly in reference to a T-45B Power Armour action figure, presumably with a Nuka Cola design adorned on it. A brand new Fallout 3 action figure releasing almost two decades after the original game’s release would be a strange phenomenon, but the listing specifically mentions Fallout 3 Remastered in the title.
Judging from this, we can estimate that Bethesda might be following a similar remaster route to the Oblivion remaster from last year. That saw Virtuous use Unreal Engine 5 to completely overhaul the game’s visuals while still using the Creation Engine for the brains behind it all.
Bethesda is yet to acknowledge that a Fallout 3 remastered project is currently in the works, although Todd Howard did tease that Fallout is the franchise it’s ‘doing the most with’ at the moment. We also know that Howard loves a stealth release, or at least holding off on announcing new projects until they’re pretty much ready to go (we won’t talk about The Elder Scrolls 6).
With no official reveal from Microsoft or Bethesda just yet, we await with bated breath for more news. But if this new toy listing is anything to go by, we might not have to wait too much longer.
