Xiaomi has teased its upcoming Redmi K90 Max, a smartphone designed with gaming enthusiasts in mind. Expected to launch later this month, the device boasts an active air-cooling system and a 165Hz display, promising high performance under extended gaming sessions.
Air Cooling Fan for Advanced Thermal Management
For the first time in a Redmi device, the K90 Max includes an 18.1mm active air cooling fan
, approximately
6% larger than standard fans. According to
Lu Weibing, this system can
reduce the phone’s temperature by up to 10°C in just 100 seconds during heavy usage. The fan uses
vertical airflow and specially designed blades to further enhance cooling efficiency, preventing overheating during prolonged gaming.
165Hz Display and Gaming Optimizations
The smartphone features a 165Hz refresh rate display
, delivering a
smooth and responsive gaming experience. The K90 Max is
optimized for e-sports, with improvements to
touch response, network performance, and audio quality. Eye protection features have been integrated to reduce strain during extended gaming sessions. The device will also include a
next-generation flagship processor with a
dual-core performance architecture, although Xiaomi has yet to reveal the chipset name.
Design and Camera Features
The Redmi K90 Max sports a dual rear camera setup positioned vertically in the top left corner, with the air-cooling fan located nearby, giving the phone a distinctive design. This device expands the existing Redmi K90 lineup, which includes the Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro Max, previously launched in China.
While the exact launch date
has not been announced, Xiaomi is expected to release further details in the coming days, confirming this phone as a
high-performance option for gaming enthusiasts.
