Resident Evil fans are getting Requiem 10% cheaper ahead of February launch

The countdown is on for 2026's most anticipated game release, and eager fans can now snap up pre-orders at a reduced price thanks to a cracking deal.

Resident Evil Requiem launches on February 27, and gamers are chomping at the bit. Publishers Capcom have pledged "heart-stopping horror" and "death-defying action" in the ninth main instalment of the Resident Evil franchise.

And now, courtesy of one major UK High Street retailer, enthusiastic fans can bag Requiem at a knocked-down price. Currys looks to be the most affordable spot to pick up the game, with the retailer slashing 10% off the RRP.

With gaming costs seemingly climbing higher and higher, securing this year's hottest title at prices reminiscent of a few years back is a pretty stellar bargain. However, Resident Evil devotees need to move quickly, reports All Out Gaming.

How to secure 10% off Resident Evil Requiem pre-orders

Currys are providing a 10% discount if you pre-order Resident Evil Requiem on two platforms. That means holding off until launch day will set you back the standard price of £64.99 for the latest horror action title.

However, their discount brings the price down to £58.49 on each console. It's disappointing news, though, for PC gamers – Currys aren't stocking Resident Evil Requiem for PC, nor Xbox.

The saving applies to the PS5 physical edition, and also for Resident Evil's debut launch on the Nintendo Switch 2. For Switch players, it'll be released as a Game Key-Card.

This means it'll require downloading onto your console storage, with the physical game card available from Currys serving as a 'key' to grant access to the Resident Evil Requiem game file.

Therefore, Nintendo players need to ensure their SD card has sufficient space prepared for launch day - Requiem is listed with a file size of 29.3GB.

For Xbox players, the most affordable option to secure Resident Evil Requiem at present is Argos. The retailer is providing a marginally higher price for pre-orders of the Xbox Series X physical edition.

Xbox players on Microsoft's premium console can purchase Resident Evil Requiem for £59.99 from Argos. The Series X/S edition is available through the Xbox store for £64.99.
