Samsung Launches AI-Powered Browser for Windows, Brings Smart Browsing to PCs
Samsung has expanded its internet browser beyond smartphones, introducing a new version for Windows PCs. The move marks the company’s push to create a seamless browsing experience across devices, enhanced by advanced artificial intelligence features.
Now Available on Windows PCs
The Samsung Browser can now be downloaded on systems running Windows 10 and Windows 11. With this launch, users can sync their browsing activity between mobile devices and PCs. Open tabs, bookmarks, and browsing history can be continued effortlessly across platforms, ensuring a smooth transition between devices.
The browser also integrates Samsung Pass, allowing users to securely store login credentials and personal information, which can be autofilled when needed.
Agentic AI: The Key Highlight
One of the standout features of the new browser is its “Agentic AI,” developed in collaboration with Perplexity. This AI system is designed to understand user queries more intuitively and deliver direct, context-aware answers.
It also includes multi-tab context awareness, enabling the browser to gather and combine information from multiple tabs into a single, easy-to-understand output. This can help users summarize content, manage multiple pages, and navigate their browsing sessions more efficiently.
Smarter and More Interactive Browsing
Samsung’s AI-powered browser goes beyond traditional search functions. It can assist with tasks such as creating travel plans based on webpage content or locating specific moments within a video. Users can even retrieve previously visited websites by asking questions in natural language, without needing exact keywords or dates.
Limited Rollout for AI Features
Currently, the AI capabilities are available in select regions, including South Korea and the United States. Samsung has indicated plans to expand these features to additional markets in the near future.
A Step Toward AI-Driven Ecosystems
With this launch, Samsung is strengthening its ecosystem by integrating AI into everyday browsing. The new browser reflects a broader industry trend toward smarter, more personalized digital experiences, where AI plays a central role in simplifying how users interact with information online.
