Xbox gamers can finally play Dispatch later this year - here's when

Newspoint

Dispatch was one of 2025’s most highly rated games, but with it only available on PC and PlayStation 5 at launch, Xbox Series X|S players were left in the lurch.

A Nintendo Switch port arrived earlier in the year, and now a version for Xbox consoles is slated to arrive a little later into 2026.

The version was announced at the Xbox’s Partner Preview last night, which revealed a bunch of new titles set to arrive on Microsoft’s console soon. As for when players can get their hands on Dispatch? The Xbox edition is currently slated for release in summer 2026

When it launches, Dispatch will be available as a Play Anywhere title. That means if you purchase it on Xbox, it will be playable as part of your PC library or via Xbox Cloud Streaming.

Dispatch on Xbox will include the uncensored version of the game. Developer AdHoc Studio came under fire earlier this year after the Nintendo Switch version censored some of the adult content found during the game’s story.

Despite that small pitfall, Dispatch remains one of the highest rated games of 2025 earning itself an 87 score on MetaCritic.

The game is episodic, putting the player in the shoes of a down-on-their-luck superhero turned dispatcher, who’s responsible for ordering other heroes to crimes within the city. It harkens back to classic TellTale games where your dialogue choices and job performance affect the outcome of the story.

With an animated art style, it also pulls inspiration from comic books and Invincible. It doesn’t shy away from explicit content, making some of its twists and turns all the more shocking.

Will you be playing Dispatch when it launches on Xbox later this year?
