AAP Workers Detained Outside Raghav Chadha’s House During Mumbai Protest

Mumbai Police detained several Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers after they protested outside Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha’s residence in Khar. The protestors raised slogans, burnt effigies and accused Chadha of betrayal following his reported move to the BJP along with other MPs. AAP claimed the demonstration was peaceful and alleged that police prevented workers from gathering despite prior permission being given. The party said activists regrouped at Bandra station before continuing their protest. Police confirmed detentions, including AAP leader Ruben Mascarenhas. The incident comes amid a major political shake-up after Chadha and six other AAP MPs left the party and joined BJP, triggering internal conflict and leadership turmoil within AAP’s ranks.
