‘Bilateral Trade Growing Towards $500 Bn Ambition’: Piyush Goyal At Launch Of India-US Trade Portal
India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri unveiled the India-US Trade Facilitation Portal during his visit to the United States, marking a key step toward achieving the $500 billion bilateral trade goal. The platform aims to simplify connections between Indian exporters and US importers, boosting trade opportunities and efficiency. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said the initiative will strengthen economic engagement and expand market access. Misri noted that the portal will help sustain existing supply chains while fostering new business partnerships. The launch event, held virtually, was attended by Indian Ambassador Vinay Mohan Kwatra along with officials and industry representatives from both countries.
