‘Congress Will Be Wiped Out Everywhere’: DMK Warns Cong Over Support To Vijay’s TVK

DMK leaders have strongly reacted to Congress extending support to TVK chief Vijay in Tamil Nadu. Senior leaders Kanimozhi NVN Somu and TKS Elangovan termed the move a “stab in the back,” saying DMK has always supported Congress in difficult times. They also questioned the feasibility of government formation, stating that TVK does not have the required majority of 118 MLAs and still needs additional support to reach the mark. DMK leaders further said the Governor should invite a party to form government only after proving majority support. Another spokesperson, Saravanan Annadurai, called Congress’ decision to back TVK a “backstabbing” move and claimed it could have wider political implications, while reaffirming DMK’s alliance with VCK and Left parties.
