Govt Boosts 5-Kg LPG Allocation For Migrants As Supply Pressure Grows
The Petroleum Ministry on April 6 announced a major relief measure for migrant labourers, deciding to double the supply of 5 kg Free Trade LPG cylinders. The move will be implemented based on the average daily distribution recorded during March 2 and 3, ensuring increased availability of cooking fuel for workers on the move. This step is aimed at addressing the rising demand and easing access to essential fuel for migrant communities, especially in high-density areas. The government says the decision will help improve last-mile delivery and provide much-needed support to labourers relying on smaller LPG cylinders for their daily cooking needs.
