India Ramps Up Gulf Outreach: Hardeep Puri Heads To Qatar, Jaishankar to UAE After US-Iran Truce
India is actively engaging with Gulf nations during the ongoing two-week ceasefire in the region. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will visit the United Arab Emirates on April 11–12, 2026, to meet UAE leaders and strengthen the strategic partnership. At the same time, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri is visiting Qatar on April 9–10 to address energy supply concerns arising from the Iran conflict. The Ministry of External Affairs, through spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, confirmed that India is also engaging with other GCC countries to enhance cooperation and regional stability.
