Iran Threats Undermine 10 Million Indian Lives, Israel’s ‘Great Plans With India’: Envoy Azar

Israel’s Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, said potential threats from Iran could impact the lives of around 10 million Indians in the Gulf and affect regional stability. He noted that India continues to act in line with its interests and welcomed its active role amid the West Asia situation. Azar highlighted that Israel is maintaining close coordination with Indian authorities and ensuring the safety of all residents, including Indian nationals. He also underlined that strong security conditions are essential for advancing economic initiatives like the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor. Referring to tensions around the Strait of Hormuz, he said disruptions are linked to Iranian actions and stressed the need for global efforts, including possible UN intervention, to keep key trade routes open and maintain stability.
