Jaishankar Pushes India-Russia Trade Expansion With Focus On 100 Billion Target And New Deals

Jaishankar has outlined an ambitious roadmap to scale bilateral trade to 100 billion dollars by 2030. The focus is on building a balanced and sustainable partnership, moving beyond defence cooperation into areas like energy, infrastructure, and workforce exchange. Efforts are also being made to conclude the India-EAEU trade agreement and remove non-tariff barriers that slow growth. The partnership already includes key projects like the Kudankulam nuclear plant, symbolising long-term collaboration. With global supply chains shifting and geopolitical tensions rising, this economic push could redefine India’s strategic positioning. It is not just about trade.
