LPG Tanker ‘Pyxis Pioneer’ With Over 47,000 Tonnes Of Fuel From US Arrives At New Mangalore Port

Amid rising tensions in West Asia and concerns over LPG supply, India is ramping up fuel imports. The tanker Pyxis Pioneer has arrived at New Mangalore Port with over 16,000 tonnes of LPG from the US. This follows the arrival of Aqua Titan, carrying 1.1 lakh tonnes of crude oil after diverting from China. In a key relief measure, the Shipping Ministry has waived cargo charges on crude and LPG imports for a limited period. At the same time, Indian vessels like Shivalik, Nanda Devi, and Jag Laadki have delivered shipments to Mundra, strengthening efforts to secure energy supplies.
