LPG Vessel 'Apollo Ocean' Carrying 16,000 Tonnes Of Cargo Docks In Karnataka

As the West Asia conflict impacts global energy routes, the LPG vessel Apollo Ocean docked at New Mangalore Port carrying 16,000 metric tonnes of fuel, easing supply concerns in the region. The delivery followed a logistical shift, with the vessel Shivalik offloading its cargo in Gujarat instead of Mangaluru, after which the LPG was rerouted to Karnataka via Apollo Ocean. The ship’s arrival also marked a milestone as the 40,000th vessel to berth at the port. Earlier this month, Shivalik and MT Nanda Devi brought in over 92,000 metric tonnes of LPG to meet domestic demand. Additionally, Indian carriers Jag Vasant and Pine Gas successfully navigated the Strait of Hormuz, ensuring steady fuel transportation.
