'Never Faced Such Humiliation': Jaya Bachchan Slams VIP Culture In RS, Flags Traffic Disruptions

Rajya Sabha Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Amitabh Bachchan expressed serious concern over the impact of VIP culture on traffic and public convenience. During Zero Hour, she cited frequent roadblocks and diversions caused by politicians, officials, and dignitaries, disrupting citizens’ daily routines. Bachchan shared an incident where MPs leaving from Shardula Dwar were stopped because the main door was locked for VIP movement. She emphasized that such humiliation was unprecedented in her 22 years in Parliament and pointed out that roads near prominent political leaders’ homes often remain blocked. Urging Chairman C P Radhakrishnan to raise the matter with the government, she called for ending VIP culture to respect taxpayers’ dignity.
