Testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committee, she notes that these nations are developing advanced missile delivery systems with nuclear and conventional payloads capable of reaching US territory. Gabbard emphasizes that China and Russia are creating technologies to bypass US missile defenses, while Pakistan’s ballistic missile program could include ICBMs able to strike the US. Her remarks come shortly after Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif praised Donald Trump as a peacemaker and referenced disputed ceasefire issues with India during the Board of Peace summit in Washington earlier this year.
