In a joint statement, they questioned its methodology, saying such assessments should be based on long-term data, not selective accounts. Highlighting census trends, they said minority populations in India have remained stable or increased over time. The group also objected to the report’s criticism of Indian institutions and its recommendations, including sanctions related to the RSS.
