Barrier-Free Toll Plaza: The first barrier-free toll in the country started here. Know how much tax is charged on which vehicle?
Barrier-Free Toll Plaza: The first barrier-free MLFF toll system has been launched in the country to make highway travel faster and easier. This will result in time savings, reduced congestion, and a better driving experience.
Barrier-free toll plazas opened
A major transformation is underway to simplify highway travel in India.
This new system is based on Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) technology. There will be no barriers at toll plazas, and no need to stop your vehicle.
The toll will be automatically deducted as your vehicle passes under the toll. This entire process is automated, eliminating the need for human intervention. How does this new system work? This system is equipped with high-tech cameras and sensors. These cameras read vehicle number plates using ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) technology. They also collect vehicle information through FASTag. Based on these data, the toll payment is deducted directly from your bank account.
Toll charges are lowest for smaller vehicles like cars, jeeps, and vans. Typically, these vehicles are charged around ₹100 to ₹150 on this route. This may vary slightly depending on the distance and highway, but this is a general range.
How much do I have to pay for buses and trucks?Medium and heavy vehicles, such as buses and trucks, are charged higher tolls. Buses can charge around 300 to 500 rupees, while larger trucks can charge 500 rupees or more, depending on their size and number of axles (wheels).
Vehicles with multiple axles, such as large container trucks, are charged the highest tolls. The fee for such vehicles can range from 600 to 1,000 rupees, or even more, depending on the vehicle's size and weight.
What benefits will people get?The biggest advantage of this new system is that congestion at toll plazas will be reduced. Without the need to stop, traffic will automatically move faster. This will reduce travel time and save fuel.
