The makers of Daadi Ki Shaadi have unveiled its trailer, offering a lively glimpse into a chaotic family entertainer led by Kapil Sharma.

Packed with humour, emotion, and an unexpected twist, the film also marks a significant moment for Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who makes her big-screen debut alongside her mother, Neetu Kapoor.

The trailer opens with Yograj Singh playing a determined grandfather on a mission to find the perfect bride for his grandson, portrayed by Kapil Sharma. Soon, the audience is introduced to the prospective bride, played by Sadia Khateeb, setting the stage for what appears to be a conventional wedding setup.

However, just as preparations begin to unfold in full swing, the narrative takes an unexpected turn. It is revealed that the bride’s grandmother, played by Neetu Kapoor, is herself planning to get married. This surprising development shifts the focus entirely, as both families come together at her home, only to meet the groom, played by R. Sarathkumar, who introduces himself as a retired Indian Army captain.

What follows is a series of humorous and dramatic moments as the family warms up to the idea, until a twist shakes things up. It emerges that the supposed army veteran is not who he claims to be, adding a layer of mystery and intrigue to the otherwise light-hearted narrative.

Midway through the trailer, Riddhima Kapoor makes her presence felt, playing Neetu Kapoor’s on-screen daughter, further adding to the film’s family dynamic. The ensemble cast also includes Teju Kolhapure, Deepak K. Dutta, Hooda Jitender, Aditi Mittal, Nikhat Hegde, Vidhaan S Sharma, Swarna Pandey, Ishan Chadha, Champa Flora David Jacob, Parveen H, Mohammed Ali, and Rahul Singh.

The film also marks Kapil Sharma’s return to cinemas after Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, which failed to make a mark at the box office. Meanwhile, Riddhima had earlier gained attention through her OTT appearance in Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives.

Blending family drama with comedy and surprises, Daadi Ki Shaadi is set to hit theatres on May 8, promising a wholesome entertainer with a quirky twist.
