Former Byndoor MLA Basruru Appanna Hegde passes away at 91

Former Byndoor MLA Basruru Appanna Hegde passed away at a private hospital on Saturday (February 7). He was 91 years old.

According to sources, he died due to age-related ailments.

Appanna Hegde represented the Byndoor Assembly constituency as a Janata Party MLA from 1983 to 1985. He also served as a former administrative trustee of the Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple and was actively involved in several social and community organisations.

Several political leaders and dignitaries have expressed deep condolences over his demise.
