, the Railways has launched a new initiative to alleviate passenger inconvenience. While many flights to Mumbai and South India are being cancelled due to the disruption in air operations, the Delhi route has also become increasingly strained. In response, a special train from Jaipur to Delhi has been announced on December 6th and 7th.

Three special trains started operating

The Railways has announced three special trains for the convenience of passengers. The first route is the Delhi Sarai Rohilla–Jaipur–Sabarmati Special Express. No. 04062 will leave Delhi Sarai on 6th December at 8:10 am and reach Jaipur at 2:15 pm.

  • On return, 04061 will leave Sabarmati on 7th December at 5:30 pm and will reach Delhi the same night via Jaipur.

In addition, the Railways has also started operating two more special trains, between Durgapura and Bandra Terminus and Hisar and Khadki (Maharashtra). These will provide relief to passengers traveling to Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, and Gujarat.

Jaipur to Delhi bus fare also increased! Increasing passenger congestion and air traffic disruption

Flight operations at Jaipur Airport have been disrupted for the past week. Cancellations on several routes, including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Kolkata, have resulted in passenger numbers reaching the level of railway stations. Long queues are forming outside the airport, and even inside, there's hardly any seating available.

The main reasons for flight cancellations are said to be aircraft positioning issues and crew unavailability. IndiGo alone has seen over 300 flights canceled nationwide. Half a dozen flights were canceled from Jaipur recently, including four by IndiGo and one by SpiceJet. Airlines have offered passengers the option of refunds or rescheduling.

Advisory issued for passengers

In light of the frequent flight cancellations, the Jaipur Airport administration has urged passengers to check their flight status before arriving at the airport.

Sudden cancellations or delays are causing passengers to wait for hours.

Additional trains of railways will be a big support

The Delhi-Jaipur-Sabarmati Special Express will stop at major stations along the route, including Delhi Cantt, Gurugram, Rewari, Alwar, Kishangarh, Ajmer, and Abu Road. The train is equipped with five second AC coaches, twelve third AC coaches, and two power cars. The introduction of these trains will provide direct relief to passengers stranded due to flight cancellations and ease travel for residents of Jaipur and surrounding districts.
