Apple expands in Mumbai with new Borivali store

Newspoint
Apple is opening its sixth retail store in India this week, with Borivali becoming its second outpost in Mumbai. The new store, located at Sky City Mall, reflects the company’s continued bet on India as a long-term growth market and a shift towards deeper city-level penetration rather than just marquee locations.

Apple Borivali will carry the company’s latest hardware lineup, including the iPhone 17 range, iPhone Air, Apple Watch Ultra 3, Apple Watch Series 11, and the newest iPad and Mac models powered by the M5 chip. As expected, the store will offer services such as Trade In, financing, Personal Setup and support for customers switching to iOS, along with dedicated business assistance for enterprises and small businesses.

Like its other global locations, the Borivali store will operate on 100 percent renewable energy and is positioned as carbon neutral.

Beyond retail, Apple continues to lean on its “Today at Apple” programming to drive engagement. Free daily sessions covering photography, coding and product basics will be available, reinforcing the company’s approach of blending retail with community interaction.

Apple began its physical retail journey in India in 2023 with stores in Mumbai’s BKC and Delhi’s Saket, followed by Bengaluru, Pune and Noida. With Borivali, the company’s India footprint grows to six stores, underlining a steady and deliberate expansion strategy.
