The viral audio reportedly includes references to a plan to ensure that Dr Chandru Lamani does not receive a party ticket in the next election. The speaker in the clip is heard saying that they would not rest until the ticket is denied and that another strategy has been arranged in Bengaluru, suggesting that they should meet and continue the plan.

BJP workers criticise Swamiji

Following the circulation of the audio, BJP workers have criticised Kumara Maharaj Swamiji. BJP leader Shankar alleged that a conspiracy was hatched to politically target their MLA, Chandru Lamani.

He claimed that there was a plan to deny Lamani a BJP ticket in the next election and that the audio conversation was between the Swamiji and a BJP worker. Shankar alleged that since the MLA did not heed the Swamiji’s words, a conspiracy was plotted against him. He further claimed that there were discussions about conducting Lokayukta and ED raids and about using marked currency notes to implicate the MLA.

Chandru Lamani’s close associate Shankar Marathi also made serious allegations, stating that there was a conspiracy involving Congress workers. He claimed that the complainant Vijay Poojar is a Congress worker and that his father is a former Zilla Panchayat member. He alleged that despite belonging to the same community, the Swamiji could not tolerate the MLA’s growth.
