The wait finally ended for over 18 lakh students as Central Board of Secondary Education declared the much-awaited Class 12 board examination results 2026 on May 13. Due to heavy traffic, students may experience delays on the official websites, cbse.gov.in and cbseresults.nic.in. Apart from the official portals, students can also access their CBSE Class 12 results through DigiLocker, IVRS, and the UMANG app.

Central Board of Secondary Education declared the CBSE Class 12 results today. However, the board did not publish a merit list this year.

Why CBSE will not release merit list this year
The board stated in its press release that the decision was taken to discourage unhealthy competition among students. It also noted that the overall Class 12 pass percentage for 2026 has declined compared to last year.

As per the official data released by the board, the overall pass percentage for all subjects in 2026 stands at 85.20%, marking a decline of 3.19 percentage points compared to 88.39% in 2025.
