Chikkamagaluru: Fight in bar over cigarette; Youth stabbed

Chikkamagaluru: A drunken brawl at a bar led to a stabbing incident in Shaktinagar, on the outskirts of Chikkamagaluru
city.

A fight broke out between two groups over a cigarette. During the altercation, a youth was stabbed, and the entire incident was captured on CCTV.

The victim, identified as Anil Kumar from Mugthihalli village, was suddenly attacked with a knife. The accused reportedly brought the knife from inside the bar, stabbed him, and fled the scene. Anil, who sustained serious injuries, is currently receiving treatment at the Hassan Government Hospital.

The police have since taken the accused youth into custody.

A case has been registered at the Chikkamagaluru City Police Station.
