CM Siddaramaiah reaches Karkala amid elaborate security arrangements

Karkala: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah arrived in Karkala taluk today and is scheduled to inaugurate development works completed under various departments.

The Chief Minister landed by helicopter at 1 pm at the helipad set up at the Karkala Taluk Stadium. Ministers H. C. Mahadevappa, Lakshmi Hebbalkar and Madhu Bangarappa accompanied him.

During the visit, the Chief Minister will inaugurate the newly constructed Dr B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan at Kabettu. He will then inaugurate the Kisan Sabha Hall at Mahatma Gandhi Residential High School run by Kisan Sabha Trust in Kukkundur and participate in the school’s 35th anniversary celebrations.

After the public programmes, the Chief Minister will hold a progress review meeting with district-level officials.

In view of the Chief Minister’s visit, tight police security arrangements have been made across the taluk.
