Emotional School Video of a Hungry Child Goes Viral
You may have come across various school videos showcasing mischievous children that bring a smile to your face. However, a particular video circulating on social media is stirring emotions. It features a nursery student from the village of Saide, near Mamdot in Firozpur, who expresses his sorrowful situation to his teacher, stating, 'I couldn't complete my homework today because there was no flour, and I didn't eat any bread.'
After the video gained traction online, the teacher shared insights about the child's innocent explanation for not finishing his schoolwork. The child revealed that due to a shortage of flour at home, no food was prepared, leading to his hunger. Hearing his words brought tears to the teacher's eyes. The teacher, Lakhwinder Singh, mentioned that the child's name is Amrit, a 5-year-old attending nursery at a government school in his village.
Amrit's family faces significant financial hardships. His father can only provide meals when he finds work; otherwise, they often go to bed hungry. The child's mother recounted that on the day in question, she noticed there was no flour at home while sending her children to school. She attempted to borrow flour from two nearby houses but was unsuccessful, resulting in her having to send Amrit to school without any food.
