According to police, the incident took place around 10 pm on March 15 at their house in Bilekahalli.

Rangamma and Nagaraj were originally from Davanagere and had been living in Bengaluru for the past few years with their son. Rangamma worked as a domestic help while Nagaraj was employed as a security guard. Their son works in a private company.
