Hyundai Slashes Prices of i20, Grand i10 Nios, and Aura Ahead of Festive Season After GST 2.0 Rollout

In a major announcement that brings good news for car buyers, Hyundai Motor India has significantly reduced the prices of its popular models following the implementation of the GST 2.0 tax structure. Starting September 22, 2025, Hyundai will pass on the full benefit of this revised tax system directly to customers, with price cuts of up to ₹2.4 lakh across select models and variants. This move is expected to not only make Hyundai cars more accessible to buyers but also boost the company’s sales during the upcoming festive season.
Among the most impacted models is the Hyundai i20, a premium hatchback that has consistently been among the brand’s bestsellers. The Magna variant, previously priced at ₹7,78,800, will now retail for ₹7,12,385, reflecting a price drop of ₹66,415. Similarly, the Magna Executive trim sees a reduction of ₹50,900, now priced at ₹6,86,865. Even the mid-range Sportz variant
For budget-conscious buyers, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios offers even more value now. Prices have been cut by as much as ₹71,480
In the compact sedan category, the Hyundai Aura is also seeing substantial price reductions. Depending on the variant, the cuts range from ₹55,780 to ₹76,316
Hyundai believes these reductions will drive strong momentum in the festive season, a period when many Indian customers traditionally make big-ticket purchases like cars. With substantial savings ranging from thousands to lakhs of rupees, the company expects renewed interest from first-time buyers and families looking to upgrade to feature-rich, fuel-efficient vehicles without stretching their budget.
The rollout of GST 2.0 and Hyundai’s quick move to pass on the benefits could set a precedent for other automakers in India, potentially triggering a wave of competitive pricing across the industry.
