JAC Board Exam 2026 Schedule Released for Classes 8, 9, 11: Check Exam Dates, Pattern and Key Rules
The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has officially announced the examination schedule for Class 8, Class 9, and Class 11 students for the academic session 2025–26. The detailed timetable has been published on the council’s official website, bringing clarity for students, parents, and schools ahead of the upcoming examinations.
Along with the exam dates, JAC has also shared important information regarding the examination pattern, passing criteria, internal assessment process, and admit card availability. According to the board, all examinations will be conducted using OMR sheets to ensure a smooth, transparent, and standardised evaluation process.
Class 8 Board Exam 2026: Date, Shifts and PatternAs per the official notification, the JAC Class 8 board examination will be held on February 24, 2026

First Shift: Hindi, English, and one additional language

Second Shift: Mathematics, Social Science, and Science
Each subject paper will carry 50 marks, while an additional 100 marks will be allotted for school-level internal assessment. This internal evaluation will be conducted by the respective schools following JAC guidelines.
Students appearing for the Class 8 examination will be able to download their admit cards from February 14, 2026, through the official JAC website.
The JAC Class 9 examinations are scheduled to take place between February 28 and March 1, 2026. The examination will cover five compulsory subjects, including:

To be declared successful, students must secure passing marks in at least four out of the five subjects. Each theory paper will consist of 40 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
In addition to the written exam, schools will conduct an internal assessment of 10 marks per subject, which will be added to the final result. Admit cards for Class 9 students will be available for download from February 16, 2026.
Class 11 Exam Dates and Evaluation StructureThe JAC Class 11 examinations will be conducted from February 25 to February 27, 2026
The evaluation pattern remains consistent, with:

40 marks for MCQ-based theory examination

10 marks for internal assessment at the school or college level
Admit cards for Class 11 students will also be released starting February 16, 2026.
Internal Assessment Submission TimelineJAC has clearly instructed schools to upload internal assessment marks for all three classes within the specified timeline. Schools must submit these marks between February 26 and March 10, 2026
Failure to upload marks within the deadline may impact students’ final results, so schools have been advised to adhere strictly to the schedule.
Important Instructions for StudentsStudents are advised to regularly check the official JAC website for updates related to hall tickets, circulars, and result announcements. They must ensure that all details on their admit cards are accurate and report discrepancies to school authorities immediately.
The council has emphasised that using OMR sheets will help speed up result processing and improve accuracy in evaluation.
