Netflix has unveiled the trailer for its upcoming thriller Kartavya, headlined by Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Mishra, and Rasika Dugal.

One of the film’s most surprising additions is veteran journalist Saurabh Dwivedi, best known for leading The Lallantop for years. Kartavya marks his first on-screen acting appearance, adding an unexpected layer of curiosity around the project.

About Kartavya’s Trailer

The trailer introduces Saif Ali Khan as a police officer posted in the rural belt of Jhamli. At first, his character appears grounded and content, a devoted family man sharing a peaceful life with his wife and child. However, that calm quickly begins to unravel when he finds himself pulled into a complex mystery that slowly starts affecting not just his professional life, but his personal world as well.

As the investigation deepens, the trailer hints at corruption, hidden agendas, and a system far more dangerous than it initially appears. Saif’s character is shown increasingly torn between duty and survival, while also beginning to question the motives of his seniors and the machinery he works for.

One of the standout moments from the trailer features Saif erupting in anger during a confrontation with a superior officer, delivering the kind of intense mass-energy reminiscent of cop dramas like Singham

. The sequence hints that Kartavya may blend grounded thriller elements with explosive emotional confrontations and high-stakes action.

Sharing the trailer, Netflix wrote, “Har faisla ek chunauti hai. Aur har farz ek Kartavya hai.”

Fans are excited to see Saif Ali Khan in a rooted story as one of them said, “THE OGs ARE COMING BACK IN THE MAIN ROLE, FIRST ANIL KAPOOR AND NOW SAIF ALI KHAN.”
