MacBook Neo Launched: After a long wait, Apple has finally launched the entry-level MacBook Neo. It features the same processor as the iPhone and a 13-inch display. Sales will begin on March 11th.

 

 

MacBook Neo Launched: Apple has launched its cheapest laptop, the MacBook Neo. It's been anticipated for a long time and has been introduced to compete with Windows laptops. To keep its price low, it's equipped with the same processor found in the iPhone and will be available in four colour options. Let's take a closer look at its features and pricing.

Design and display

The MacBook Neo features an aluminium frame and comes in Blush, Indigo, Silver, and Citrus colour options. It weighs approximately 1.2 kilograms. It features a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with 500 nits of brightness. The display also features an anti-reflective coating.

The MacBook Neo is powered by the iPhone 16 Pro's A18 Pro chipset, which features a 5-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine. Apple claims it delivers 50 percent faster performance than many laptops powered by the Intel Core Ultra 5. It uses a fanless architecture for silent operation and comes with Apple Intelligence support. The laptop will run on macOS Tahoe, with built-in apps like Safari, Photos, Messages, and FaceTime. This MacBook will come with 8GB and 256GB of base storage.

Camera, Battery, and Input

The MacBook Neo features a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, dual microphones, and dual side speakers that support spatial audio and Dolby Atmos. It also features Apple's Magic Keyboard, a larger multitouch trackpad, and Touch ID. Apple says it can last up to 16 hours on a single charge.

Pre-orders for the MacBook Neo have begun, and like the recently launched iPhone 17e, it will be available for sale starting March 11. Its starting price in India is ₹69,900.
