Many times people make group reservations for traveling by train. According to the rules, the Railways allows only six tickets to be booked on one form or PNR.
Suppose there are seven people in your group, then in such a situation you cannot book a ticket for the seventh person on one PNR. However, you do not need to worry too much.
If you are booking tickets online, you will have to book a ticket for the seventh person on another PNR. In this way, to book tickets offline, you will have to take a separate form for the seventh person at the reservation window.
However, if there are more people in your group. Suppose you want to make a reservation for 50 people together, then you cannot book tickets online.
For this, you will have to go to the reservation counter. For group reservations, you must apply to the Chief Reservation Supervisor (CRS) or Commercial Manager.
