Private School Free Admission: Yogi government's big decision! Free admissions available in private schools in UP, 6.80 lakh seats...
RTE Admission 2026-27: In Uttar Pradesh, the admission process under the Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act (RTE), which provides opportunities for children from economically weaker families to study in private schools, is being conducted in a new way this year. The Education Department has decided to complete the entire admission process for 2026-27 in three steps. Under this system, admissions to private schools will begin on February 2nd. This year, children's admissions will be done through their parents' Aadhaar cards. The funds for books, notebooks, and other academic materials will also be directly transferred to the Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.
Last year, in July, a young girl named Bachi met with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. During this meeting in Moradabad, the girl's family appealed to the CM regarding her admission. Following the CM's intervention, the girl was admitted to an expensive school under the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) quota. This year, great care is being taken in this matter, and emphasis is being placed on completing the entire process with transparency.
According to the Basic Education Department, the first step of the application process will run from February 2nd to February 16th. The applications received during this period will be scrutinized and verified by the District Basic Education Officer (BSA). The lottery for the first step will be held on February 18th, and orders for the enrollment of selected children in the respective schools will be issued by February 20th.
Admissions will be conducted in three steps:
In the second step, applications will be accepted from February 21st to March 7th. These applications will also be verified by the BSA office. The lottery for the second step will be held on March 9th, and instructions related to school allocation will be issued by March 11th. The third and final step of the application process will be from March 12th to March 25th. The lottery for this step will be held on March 27th, and orders will be issued by March 29th. All private schools must complete the admissions of the allocated children by April 11th. Nodal Officers to Conduct Investigation
