Here’s all about it.

Ranveer Singh found the role of Hamza more challenging than Khilji

In a recent podcast with MensXP, Singh’s business partner Nikunj praised Ranveer Singh’s performance and said, “I saw Dhurandhar on the first day, first show for both the films. I loved it. Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, for me, was the best film of all time. I enjoyed part one as well, but part two was something else. I didn’t want to get out of my seat even to pee. I was like, I won’t even blink—just look at him, it’s insane.”

He also recalled a conversation with Ranveer and revealed that when talking about the role, Singh once told him that playing Hamza was much more challenging for him as an artist.

He said, “We were chatting with him once, and we asked him if he would do something as demanding as Khilji. He said, ‘This character (Hamza) has been way more challenging for me as an artist; it has taken so much more out of me. I had to go deep and give it 300 per cent; it has been very demanding.’ And when you see it, you’re like, what was this? He has proven he’s the GOAT. It’s a fact, he is insane.”

Interestingly, Singh had also spoken about playing Khilji

in Padmaavat earlier and revealed how he had isolated himself for 21 days to be able to prepare for the character. The movie did a whopping Rs 585 crore at the worldwide box office.

As for Dhurandhar, the two-part movie is directed by Aditya Dhar and has been one film that everyone’s talking about. The franchise has crossed the Rs 3,000 crore mark at the worldwide box office, with the first film having done Rs 1,300 crore globally, and the second movie earning Rs 1,700 crore so far. What’s interesting is that while the box office numbers have slowed down, the film’s fanfare continues to be just as much.
