Belagavi: Members of Sri Ram Sena put up banners featuring Benjamin Netanyahu, Narendra Modi and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in different parts of Belagavi, opposing posters of Ali Khamenei that had appeared earlier in the city.

The banners were installed under the leadership of Sri Ram Sena founder-president Pramod Muthalik as part of greetings for the Ugadi festival.

The banner displayed an image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi standing with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It also carried a picture of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj depicted during the killing of Afzal Khan.

According to local information, members of the Muslim community had earlier installed banners in Belagavi condemning the killing of Iran’s leader Ali Khamenei. In response to those posters, Sri Ram Sena members installed the new banners featuring Netanyahu and other leaders.
