In Sanatan Dharma, wearing a Tulsi garland is considered extremely auspicious. It purifies the mind and brings the blessings of Lord Vishnu. But along with this, there are some religious rules, which, if not followed, can have adverse effects. Through a conversation with astrologer Pandit Manoj Shukla, let us know where the Tulsi garland should not be worn.

According to religious beliefs, going to the toilet wearing a Tulsi garland is considered forbidden. It should be removed during daily activities and later worn again only after purifying it with Gangajal.

Meat and alcohol

A person wearing a Tulsi garland should not consume meat and alcohol. Eating non-vegetarian food reduces its spiritual effect.
