Examination Schedule
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the UGC NET December 2025 examination, utilizing a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode for 85 subjects. The examination will be held at various test centers across the country on December 31, 2025, January 2, 2026, January 3, 2026, January 5, 2026, January 6, 2026, and January 7, 2026.
The examination will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second shift from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Paper 1 will consist of 50 questions on Teaching and Research Aptitude, while Paper 2 will have 100 questions on the subject chosen by the candidate. The total duration of the examination is 3 hours.
Documents Required for the Examination
Candidates are required to carry their admit card and original photo ID proof (such as Aadhaar card, Voter ID) to the examination center. Mobile phones, calculators, or any other electronic devices are strictly prohibited in the examination hall.
