New Delhi [India], September 15 (ANI): Delhi Police on Monday said that they are waiting for a toxicology report to find the drunk and drive angle and are verifying the CCTV footage to verify if the vehicle was overspeeding in the Dhaula Kuan BMW accident case.
Speaking to ANI, South West Delhi's Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abhimanyu Poswal, confirmed the arrest of the main accused, Gaganpreet, who will be produced in the court after a medical examination.
"Gaganpreet is from Gurugram and is in her husband's business. We are waiting for the toxicology report to find the drunk and drive angle... Regarding the tampering of the evidence, she should have informed the police and taken the victim to the nearest hospital. "Ganagpreet's husband also has head injuries and is admitted to the hospital. CCTV will be checked to verify the overspeeding angle... We have interrogated her. She claims she has no idea how the accident occurred. She says that they were on their way to Gurugram and the accident took place after a sudden impact, resulting in the accident...," he said.
Kaur, 38, a resident of Gurugram in Haryana, was arrested during the course of the investigation.
Earlier, a Delhi Police team on Monday visited the residence of the deceased victim, Navjot Singh, as part of the investigation into the Dhaula Kuan BMW accident and recorded the statement of eyewitness Gulfam, who took the injured to Nulife Hospital. (ANI)
