Kelsey Bateman first appeared on television in 2009 during the third season of
with Bret Michaels. She was just 21 years old when she joined the cast. The show was a popular
reality series that ran from 2007 to 2009, following 25 women as they competed to date
frontman Bret Michaels.
During her season, called

Bateman’s elimination became one of the most memorable moments of the season. In that episode, she and fellow contestants Farrah Sinclair and Ashley Klarich got heavily drunk.
Bateman later admitted, “I ended up lying on a speed bump, bawling my eyes out, but you know what? I’m here, and I’m ready for whatever Brett has to say to me. But I mean, hey, I can’t be the only girl that’s gotten drunk and laid on a speed bump. Let’s be honest.”
Michaels explained his decision to let her go, telling her, “At some point I looked over during the concert and you were no longer there. And at some point you were lying on a speed bump talking, saying you couldn’t handle this any longer. I think tonight the fact that you need to be who you are not, the fact that you need to drink this much? I think you’re awesome and a beautiful girl, and I said sometimes I have to make decisions for people, and my decision for you is that I’m going to let your tour end here.”
Following her elimination, Bateman admitted she was “emotional” and said, “Apparently Brett just can’t handle a girl that likes to get drunk and lie on speed bumps. I mean, maybe he’s not used to it. I’m going to go home, and I’m going to be single. I’m not going to think about guys for a while, but the next guy I find definitely won’t be 44 and probably not a rock star.”
After Rock of Love, she stepped away from the reality TV spotlight and lived a quieter life in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she was originally from. Reports suggest she stayed loosely in touch with her former co-stars and appeared at occasional reunion events but mostly avoided the public eye.
