Youth assaulted for filming triple riding in Bengaluru, police take action
Bengaluru: A group of youths allegedly assaulted a man for filming them while they were triple riding on motorcycles in the Commercial Street police station limits.
The incident took place around 10 pm on Saturday on Cubbon Road. According to police, six youths were travelling on three bikes, with each vehicle carrying three riders. A man riding behind them recorded a video of the violation.
On noticing this, one of the youths allegedly threw an object at the man and threatened him. The victim later uploaded the video on social media.
Based on the incident, Commercial Street Police Station registered a road rage case and detained one person for questioning. The remaining five individuals, who are minors, were later brought to the station along with their parents.
The case was subsequently transferred to the Shivajinagar Traffic Police Station for action related to traffic violations. Police also registered a case against those who allowed minors to use two-wheelers and seized the vehicles involved.
Officials said legal action has been initiated against both the minors and their parents.
