Dance Pe Chance 2026: FIA Celebrates Republic Day with Unforgettable Cultural Extravaganza in Trenton

The Dance Pe Chance 2026 event, hosted by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA-NY-NJ-CT-NE), delivered a spectacular cultural showcase in Trenton, New Jersey, on February 7, 2026. Marking India's 77th Republic Day and the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, this edition of Dance Pe Chance highlighted the richness and diversity of Indian dance while uniting the Indian American community.

A Grand Republic Day Celebration

Held at the Patriots Theatre at the War Memorial, the 42nd edition of Dance Pe Chance drew an audience of over 2,200, including diplomats, community leaders, and members of the Indian diaspora. The evening commenced with the national anthems, followed by presentations highlighting FIA’s mission and its four-decade-long journey of cultural promotion and community engagement.



FIA Chair Priti Ray-Patel reflected on the legacy of Dance Pe Chance, while FIA President Sreekanth Akkapalli celebrated the organisation’s milestones and acknowledged the dedication of volunteers. Chairman Ankur Vaidya emphasised FIA’s ongoing mission to strengthen unity among Indian Americans.

Leadership and Recognition

A highlight of the evening was the oath-taking ceremony for FIA's 2026 Executive Committee, conducted by Consul General of India Ambassador Binaya S. Pradhan. The Consul General praised FIA for elevating the scale and impact of Dance Pe Chance, while Deputy Consul General Vishal J. Harsh voiced support for the association’s cultural initiatives and enhanced consular services for the Indian diaspora.
