India Calls For Peaceful Resolution Through Dialogue

In an official statement issued on Sunday, India said recent developments in Venezuela were a matter of serious concern and highlighted the need for peaceful engagement. Emphasising diplomacy as the only viable path forward, New Delhi called upon all concerned parties to resolve differences through dialogue, stressing the importance of maintaining peace and regional stability.

India also reaffirmed its support for the well-being and safety of the Venezuelan people, underlining that stability in the region is crucial not only for Venezuela but also for wider international interests. The government’s message reflected a consistent position advocating non-violence and constructive engagement during political crises.

Indian Embassy In Caracas On Alert

The government confirmed that the Indian Embassy in Caracas remains in close contact with members of the Indian community in Venezuela. Officials said the embassy is actively monitoring the situation on the ground and is prepared to provide all possible assistance to Indian nationals if required.

The outreach efforts aim to ensure that Indians living in the country receive timely information and support during a period marked by uncertainty and rapidly changing developments. Authorities have reiterated the importance of staying connected with the embassy and following official advisories closely.

Travel Advisory Issued For Indian Nationals

Amid the unfolding crisis, Indian nationals have been advised to avoid all non-essential travel to Venezuela. Those currently in the country have been urged to exercise extreme caution, limit their movements, and remain vigilant at all times.

The advisory also asked Indians in Venezuela to stay in regular contact with the Indian Embassy in Caracas and to follow local safety instructions. The move reflects growing concerns over security conditions following recent political and military actions.

United States Announces Strike And Capture Of Venezuelan Leader

In a dramatic development, US President Donald Trump announced that the United States had carried out a large-scale strike against Venezuela. He claimed that Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro and his wife were captured during the operation and flown out of the country, with US law enforcement agencies involved in the mission.

Maduro has reportedly been charged with multiple offences, including narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine importation conspiracy, and possession of prohibited weapons. The announcement marked a significant escalation in the crisis and triggered widespread international attention.

Claims Of Interim US Role In Venezuela

Following the operation, President Trump stated that the United States would help run Venezuela on an interim basis until a “safe and proper” transition could be achieved. He described the mission as extremely successful and said it should serve as a warning to those who threaten American interests or lives.

However, there were no immediate signs of such administrative involvement on the ground, leaving questions about how the interim arrangement would unfold.

Delcy Rodriguez Named Interim President

Meanwhile, Venezuela’s Supreme Court directed Vice President Delcy Rodriguez to assume charge as Interim President. The ruling stated that the move was necessary to ensure administrative continuity and safeguard national defence during the ongoing crisis.

Rodriguez’s appointment is aimed at maintaining stability within the country’s governance framework as Venezuela navigates one of its most volatile political moments in recent years.
