Trump warns of 50% tariff on countries supplying weapons to Iran

Washington: US President Donald Trump has warned that countries supplying weapons to Iran will face a 50% tariff on all goods exported to the United States.

In a post on his social media platform, Trump said the tariff would be imposed immediately on nations providing arms to Iran during the ongoing conflict in West Asia. He stated that there would be no exemptions to this decision.

The announcement has reportedly caused concern among several countries.

The warning comes even as a ceasefire has been declared in the region.

In a separate statement, Trump also said that the United States is willing to work with Iran to extract uranium resources from the ground. He mentioned that uranium enrichment would not be allowed and that the US would help remove deeply buried nuclear materials.

However, Iran has not agreed to this proposal.
