The much-awaited 2026 Renault Duster is finally set to launch in India on March 17, 2026, marking the return of one of the brand’s most successful SUVs. First introduced in India in 2012 and discontinued in 2022, the Duster built a strong reputation for its rugged design and reliable performance. Now, Renault is bringing back the iconic SUV with modern styling, advanced technology, and improved safety features.

Design And Exterior Updates

The 2026 Renault Duster design closely resembles the global version but includes several distinctive elements tailored for the Indian market. The SUV features eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lights with integrated turn indicators, a bold grille, and sleek LED headlamps.

The front fascia also includes a sculpted bonnet and a black applique panel with Duster branding, giving it a more aggressive look. On the sides, the SUV gets thick black body cladding and stylish 17-inch alloy wheels, enhancing its rugged appeal.


At the rear, the Renault Duster 2026 comes with D-shaped LED tail lamps connected by a light bar, a shark-fin antenna, a rear wiper, and a roof spoiler with an integrated stop lamp.

Interior And Technology Features

Inside the cabin, the 2026 Renault Duster interior offers a premium and modern layout. The SUV features leatherette seats with yellow accents and matching stitching for a sporty look.

The dashboard is equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also includes a 10.1-inch fully digital driver display, providing important vehicle information in a modern format.

Other highlights include dual-zone climate control, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, electrically adjustable front seats with ventilation and heating, and an electrically powered tailgate. One of the biggest upgrades is the inclusion of Level 2 ADAS features, which bring advanced driver assistance technologies to improve safety.

Additional safety features include a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, and several driver assistance functions.

Engine And Performance Options

The 2026 Renault Duster engine options will include three powertrains: a 1.0-litre turbo petrol, a 1.3-litre turbo petrol, and a 1.8-litre strong hybrid engine.


The 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine produces 163 PS of power and 280 Nm of torque, offering a strong balance of performance and efficiency. Meanwhile, the strong hybrid variant is expected to launch around Diwali 2026, offering better fuel efficiency and lower emissions.

With its updated design, advanced technology, and hybrid option, the 2026 Renault Duster launch in India is expected to attract both loyal fans and new buyers in the competitive SUV segment.
