Ather to Launch Affordable EL Electric Scooter Platform on THIS DATE
Ather Energy is all set to host its third Community Day on August 30, 2025, and as always, it’s expected to bring a flurry of big announcements. The electric two-wheeler brand, known for its innovation-driven approach, is gearing up to unveil a brand-new platform, multiple concept models, and exciting tech upgrades - all in one action-packed event.
At the heart of this year’s event will be the launch of the much-awaited EL platform. This new platform is designed to support a range of upcoming electric scooters with an updated powertrain and enhanced electronic architecture. Interestingly, while the EL platform is fresh, it will still retain core components from the proven Ather 450 platform, such as its battery setup and software base - the AtherStack. This thoughtful mix of new tech and trusted elements is aimed at keeping development costs in check while enabling global scalability.
One of the biggest takeaways from the EL platform could be the introduction of a new, affordable electric scooter - a segment where Ather has yet to make its mark. The brand is expected to enter the sub-₹1 lakh price category, directly competing with the likes of Ola Electric, TVS Motors, Hero MotoCorp’s Vida, and Bajaj Auto. Several concept models based on the EL platform are also likely to make their debut, though Ather has kept the details tightly under wraps.
In addition to product unveilings, Ather will launch its next-generation fast chargers to enhance charging speed and convenience. The brand will also reveal AtherStack 7.0, the latest version of its in-house software platform, promising significant upgrades in user experience and scooter performance.
